Remembering Tom Petty

I haven’t crunched any numbers, but it seems like 2017 is going to lose more celebrities than 2016. And we’ve lost another big name in Tom Petty.

While I wasn’t the biggest fan of Tom Petty, I’ve always appreciated his music. He’s a cultural music icon and deserved to be. I remember being introduced to Tom Petty during the MTV years when Music Television was defined by actual music… on television. Music twenty-four hours a day. And for a while, You Got Lucky played every hour on the hour (or so it seemed).

I’ve always loved that song.
