Newsflash! Defunding Planned Parenthood Results In More Births!

6 Feb 2016

Texas cut funding to Planned Parenthood, and the results are in.

Cosmopolitan published an article yesterday regarding those results: Texas Women Use Less Birth Control, Have More Babies Since the State Defunded Planned Parenthood

Mostly, this is a big duh. With Planned Parenthood out of the picture, common sense says that there will be less birth control because someone else isn’t paying for your pregnancy protection. Whether this is good or bad can be debated. Since when birth control is used correctly, within the confines of a marriage, then there’s nothing wrong with birth control.

Births are up. Again, common sense. Less birth control equals more births.

Which means people are having sex anyway. Which calls into question the intelligence of those having sex, who don’t want kids.

On the other hand, does more births mean less abortions? One can only hope.

On the other had, the article decries the “most highly effective contraception” options as not being available to low-income women. Whatever happened to condoms?

And why is it the woman’s responsibility? Why doesn’t she tell her man no, if he doesn’t show up with a box of condoms? It’s shared sex. Why not share the responsibility?
